At the begining of the time having web page, it only has the formated text (bold, italic...), images and limited interaction with end-users. The world of information is so pure that time!
Javascript is a simple programming codes (call it as the script) embeded in HTML or stored in a seperate file to make the web can interact with end-users quickly and can make a lot of effect text, calculation...
If the javascript is stored in a seperate file, it usually has the file extension is .js . in the HTML file, it must be have an instruction to include that javascript file. The syntax in HTML to include a javascript file can be found in the computer book, and it is not the stuff for our discussion in this topic.
After the famous javascript used around the world, Microsoft delivered a new standard called vbscript which similiar to javascript. However, the javascript is the favourite food of web programmer because of it's independent of browsers and it is a open standard. Vbscript still in used but it is in limited webpages.
